We had a lot of fun celebrating Andrew's 1st birthday on Saturday. We just had a little party at the house. There are way too many cicadas to do anything outside!

The awesome hat and banner were made by my very talented friend Anna Wright.
So he doesn't like anything on his head...not even an adorable birthday hat.
And he excels in smashing cake. But he has two parents who love cupcakes, so I feel like this should have been expected.

Can't believe how much our lives have changed over the past year. Parenting is more challenging and tiring than I expected, but way more awesome too. This guy keeps us entertained and on our toes. We love him so much.
