Labor Day Weekend 2009 was so much fun! James and I spent the weekend in the glorious city of Knoxville with six of our closest friends- Brandon and Meaghan, Craig and Anna, and Russ and Heather. Heather and Russ moved to Knoxville in May so Russ could finish up medical school there and we miss them so much! It was so great to be with everyone. We ate a lot of good food including a streamed smoked cheddar and ham sammie from Sam and Andy's (a Knoxville institution) and had great frozen yogurt at Menchie's. We also did a little shopping and played a LOT of cards. We always play Nertz boys vs. girls and the boys always win :(. The highlight of the weekend for James was undoubtedly the inaugural football game for Coach Lane Kiffin. Anyone that knows my husband, knows that Big Orange optimism flows eternal and Orange Kool-Aid is always on tap. Luckily for me and our six friends, the Vols did not disappoint on Saturday :).
